Hiruzta Txakoli Rosé (formerly known as Gorria) is a vibrant, contemporary-style rosé produced by Hiruzta in the Getariako Txakolina denominación de origen (D.O.) in the Basque Country of northern Spain.
Elaboration: Made via the saignée (bleeding) method after a short 4-to-6-hour tank maceration, then blended with Hondarrabi Zuri white must before a cool fermentation.
Appellation: Getariako Txakolina, País Vasco (Basque Country), Spain
Grape Blend: 55% Hondarrabi Beltza (red) and 45% Hondarrabi Zuri (white)
Characteristics: Features a pink gooseberry or redcurrant-pink color, aromas of strawberry, redcurrant, and citrus, and a crisp, fresh palate with light natural carbonic fizz.
Food Pairings: Great with appetizers, seafood, fish, mild cheeses, rice dishes, and white meat.
