In 1979, Franco Ziliani conceived a cuvée that would enhance the uniqueness of each parcel, creating a timeless harmony. Since then, he has undertaken a meticulous selection of the most suitable plots, which today extends across 30 hectares of managed land.

These fifteen plots are located between the hills of Monticelli Brusati and Ome, at altitudes ranging from 200 to 400 meters above sea level, with east, south, and west exposures.
Here, we grow 11 hectares of Chardonnay, 4 of Pinot Noir, and 1 of Pinot Blanc on fine-grained soils.

Continuing along the moraine amphitheater, we encounter gravelly and compact soils, rich in skeleton and clay, where five vineyards are located in the municipalities of Paderno Franciacorta, Passirano and Provaglio d'Iseo: 5 hectares of Pinot Noir and 3 of Chardonnay.

Antica Fratta's vineyards are completed with 6 hectares of Chardonnay in the hamlet of Calino, characterized by deep moraine subsoil, ideal for enhancing the variety's fruity qualities.
From this terroir, we carefully select wines through gentle pressing with a maximum yield of 45%. These are then aged in French oak barrels or stoneware amphorae. In subsequent years, we carefully blend the wines with wines from the most recent harvest.

After tirage, the wine undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle and is aged on the lees for a minimum of twenty-four months.
