Bohigas NV Cava Reserva Brut
Description
Cava has been Spain's answer to Champagne within its own roots. While most Cavas only go through 9 months sur-lee-aging this non-vintage reserva doubles the numbers which brings forth more body, creaminess and rich flavors of bread and biscuits on the palate to accompany the bursting freshness of acidity.
Varietals
55% Xarel·lo, 30% Macabeo, 15% Parellada
Tasting Notes
Very fresh aroma of white fruit (tart apple and pear) amidst notes of citric rind and white flowers. Spicy bouquet due to ageing (cinnamon) and biscuits.
Producer & Practices
Cavas Bohigas is a cellar with more than eight centuries of history and located in the Anoia River Basin in Òdena. This is a family owned and organically farmed estate which itself is 200 hectares of mixed vineyard land and forest. Wines have been produced here by the same family since the 1200’s, and Bohigas is well-known throughout Europe as one of Spain’s most beautiful and engaging sparkling wines.
